  • 2012 New Construction Starts Strong

Country Club Homes, Inc is a Fairfield County, Connecticut custom home builder looking forward to 2012 with anticipation for two reasons: first, we love what we do; secondly,  CNN Money.com is reporting that, “New home construction got off to a strong start for the year, with housing starts and building permits rising in January on a monthly and annual basis — another sign that the U.S. housing market and broader economy are headed in the right direction.” Housing starts for January, 2012 were up 10% over the same period in 2011. Housing completions were at 4% over last January, 2011. This is great news for Country Club Homes.

Mike Lubansky, senior financial analyst at Sageworks comments, “Although residential building still has a steep hill to climb in order to achieve a full recovery to pre-2007 levels, it does look to be on the right trajectory.” The NAHB Remodeling Market Index for the northeast is showing future market indicators for 2012 more than 3 points higher than the same period during 2011, based on the ‘Remodeling Market Index’ chart.
