    • Sound sub-floor.  New wood flooring should be laid on a clean, smooth, level and structurally sound base.
    • Removal of items.  Remove all furnishings, draperies, paintings and other items from the room(s).
    • Protect your home.  Ensure that the space is sealed off to prevent dust and debris from infiltrating other areas of your home.
    • Acclimate.  Acclimate your hardwood flooring to its new environment.  Let it get used to the temperature and humidity levels before it’s installed.
