Some Ideas to Consider …

  • Customize a Kitchen Island to Fit Your Lifestyle

Whether you like to entertain, your passion is cooking or you just like a cozy spot to gather with your family, your kitchen island  can be designed to meet your lifestyle.  It can be decorative or purely functional, can have clean lines or more traditional details, can be painted or stained.  You get to choose…

    • If you cook on the island and/or use it primarily for food-prep space, you might want to consider installing a double island. The double island will give you ample space for a second sink, large counterspace and an additional area for seating.  It also is a great place for a second dishwasher or trash/recycling center.
    • If you eat at the island frequently, we recommend a built-in, multi-purpose bar that stores a variety of food items and condiments like fresh strawberries for the morning, dips for the afternoon, or olives and cherries for an instant wet bar.  And be sure to choose stools or chairs that are comfortable!
    • If you entertain frequently, turn your island into an inviting space for your guests. Create enough space around the island for guest to pull out stools and sit at the island comfortably. Make it the place to hang since guests always end up in the kitchen anyway!
