    • Steep roof, single pitch, with side gables
    • Center chimney, sometimes linked to a fireplace in each room
    • Shingle sides, originally left unpainted
    • Dormer windows
    • No ornamentation except for front door
    • Rectangle shape, usually 1-1-1/2 stories
