  • Hot Trend: Shiplap Siding Wall Treatment

    We’ve been one of the area’s leading custom homebuilding and remodeling firms since 1955 and have seen trends come, go and come back in fashion again. Once trends are widely used people want something different; they want change. Did you know brass is back? It may not be the brass from the 80’s, but brass accents can add sophisticated warmth to your home. Most of the new brass is not lacquered. It is left unfinished and has an aged patina.

    One of the latest trends that we have seen over the last few years is shiplap siding as an interior wall treatment. It is the “hot” new look we are hearing about from both the interior design community as well as our clients. Shiplap has a rabbet or groove cut at the end of the boards which allows them to overlap and still lie flush.
